Look to the sky (Gentle Feather Challenge)

Now this one might be a bit odd since it is October and I usually draw more monsters and scary drawings for my gallery. However, I decided to do this after reading the rules and the whole idea of this challenge that uploaded on her side. I also looked at one of the videos she made that was attached in the challenge and journal and that was the final nail in the coffin to make want to do this. I also wanted to do this because I always like a challenge and this one sounded like a lot of fun and something that fits with most of the drawings that I do. Anyway, a few days ago, Lighting-Bliss uploaded a journal for a drawing contest and I loved the idea of it and I was fine with all of it that I asked her a few things about it  before fully going with it. If you want to know more about it I will leave the journal here for you guys to check out. So this is my piece for the challenge which was to draw Lightning Bliss's mother Gentle Feather with her daughter in any situation. I was thinking about making it Gentle Feather nuzzling a foal version of Lightning Bliss but the proportions looked off and I didn't really like it. However, this one sprang into my head earlier on Friday and I quickly sketched it down. This took a good few hours to make after a bit of a morning problem with the power going out, but once it came back on, I worked on this straight away to finish it. This was a bit tough at certain points but I'm really happy with how this has turned out. I still had fun making this as well while I was making it. So here it is.

She's my mom's OC!

So here's the thing, I'm scheduled to go to two cons this month and this is the third time I'll be missing out on my mother's birthday. Hopefully it will be the last time. But since I'll be out again missing her special day, I want to make a video of her showing my love for her. I plan to sing her a song for her birthday and would like to advertise some artwork of he rOC, and that here lies the challenge to all of you!
The song will be... yes cheesey, but it fits my relationship strongly with my mother, and I feel it on fitting that I try to sing it to her:

It can be a birthday celebration, it could just be the two of them being together, heck it could be when Blissy was a filly

So here is little Filly Lightning Bliss with her mother Gentle Feather as they watch a shooting star fly across the sky. A lovely mother daughter moment indeed.
