A Comforting Soul Through The Night

This is a drawing I decided to draw after I read a story on FimFiction that was called 'Her Knight In Shining Aria' by TheNewYorkBrony. I love the story and it is an adorable Sonaria story but there was one part that always intrigued me and this all happened in another Sonaria drawing with the same situation as the story. And the interesting thing is that in the two stories I've read, Sonata is always comforted by Adagio at night whenever Sonata has a nightmare. I find this intriguing because I honestly wouldn't picture the dazzlings comforting each other like a family but whenever I read little moments with Adagio comforting her, it makes me smile because even though Adagio is...well....Adagio Dazzle, I do honestly see a soft and mother like side to her. So I decided to draw this because of that. I wasn't going to add in the lighting effects here but because of Adagio comforting Sonata at night, I decided to do it like this. Now I understand that Sonata is a little smaller than Sonata but I was looking at a base drawing to help me make this and I had this logical yet adorable that since Sonata wouldn't be able to fit on the couch, I picture Sonata in a kneeling pose and her top part of her body and head are able to rest against Adagio. That's what I'm thinking. so please forgive me if Sonata looks a little smaller than Adagio. I tried my best. So here it is.

From 'Her Knight In Shining Aria': 

"I-I know but, Dagi isn't here and she usually comforts me," Sonata sighed.

Now that made Aria sit up. "Adagio? Adagio comforts you? I find that hard to believe." She scoffed.

"No, no it's true! She has a soft side just like everyone else!" Sonata insisted. "She just doesn't show it a lot cause she thinks it's a liability."

"Do you even know what a liability is?" Aria asked, raising a brow.

"It's something that holds you back, right?"

"Well, now we know you're at least smarter than we thought you were."

"Hey!"

Aria sighed. "Seriously though, we're wasting precious sleeping time here. What does Adagio do to get you to go back to sleep?"

"She kinda lets me get on the recliner with her. We cuddle up, and she strokes my hair until I fall asleep."

Aria's mouth gaped. "Yeah now I genuinely believe that's bull." She folded her arms. "You really expect me to believe that Miss Im In Control All The Time snuggles up with you and plays the doting mother?"

"Yes!" 

From 'Comfort for stormy nights':   

    In darkness, a sudden flash of light and the ear shattering boom of thunder made Sonata jump a little and whimper to herself. How she wished Adagio was there to calm her down. Their leader may act like quite the tough nut, but when the situation calls... Adagio can be very sweet. When Sonata feels scared, Adagio is always the one to calm her down. 


So those tie in with this drawing, but in short.....here is Sonata having trouble sleeping and Adagio is there to help Sonata sleep through the night in the best way that she can think of which is to comfort the blue siren and keeping her safe and warm.
